I recently had the issue that I wanted to upgrade to the latest Windows 11 version for a customer but it didn't work. I just always got a message that it couldn't be installed on a USB disk but it was an SSD.
If you get this maybe the one who installed the OS primarily did an error by mistake or knowingly so he could return and get even some more money...
