I collected several Websites, Commands and Aliases together and but them for you in some tables.

    PowerShell WebSites

    Name

    Description

    URL/Link

    Microsoft PS Modules

A list of popular PowerShell modules presented by Microsoft

    URL/Link

    Microsoft References

Windows PowerShell 4.0 and Other Quick Reference Guides

    URL/Link

    PowerShell Cookbook

A very interesting book about PowerShell 4 - The one is use to learn

    URL/Link

    PowerShell Gallery

The central repository for sharing and acquiring PowerShell code including PowerShell modules, scripts, and DSC resources.

    URL/Link

    Powershell Commands

$xyz commands don't have Microsoft description links as normally these aren't global cmdlets

    Default Call Example:
    Verb-Noun -Parameter Argument

    Command

    Description

    $host

Shows information about the actual connection
The version shown here is the PowerShell Version from the Host Application and not from PowerShell itself

    $pshome

Displays the folder of the current PowerShell DLL

    $PSVersionTable

Use this to determine the engine version
If the variable does not exist, it is safe to assume the engine is version 1.0

    Add-PhysicalDisk

This command will add a disk to a storage pool

    Enter-PSSession (alias ETSN)

The cmdlet starts an interactive session with a single remote computer
During the session, the commands that you type run on the remote computer, just as if you were typing directly on the remote computer
You can have only one interactive session at a time.

    Get-Command

The Get-Command cmdlet gets all commands that are installed on the computer, including cmdlets, aliases, functions, filters, scripts, and applications
Get-Command gets the commands from PowerShell modules and commands that were imported from other sessions
To get only commands that have been imported into the current session, use the ListImported parameter

Instead of displaying all the commands you can just display the cmdlets:
    Get-Command -CommandType Cmdlet

    Get-Verb

The Get-Verb function gets verbs that are approved for use in PowerShell commands

    read-host 'TEXT'

The cmdlet reads a line of input from the console
You can use it to prompt a user for input
Because you can save the input as a secure string, you can use this cmdlet to prompt users for secure data, such as passwords, as well as shared data
