Fraispertuis City

Fraispertuis City is a theme park in Jeanménil, France. It opened in 1966.
Its roller coaster Timber Drop, created by S&S Power, was the steepest in the world when it opened on July 2, 2011, but it lost the record with the opening on July 16, 2011, of Takabisha at Fuji-Q Highland in Japan.

Fraispertuis City ist ein französischer Freizeitpark, der sich auf das Themengebiet Wilder Westen und Piraten spezialisiert hat.
Der 1966 eröffnete Park liegt in der Nähe der Gemeinde Jeanménil, 100 km von Strasbourg und 33 km von Epinal entfernt. Die wichtigsten Attraktionen des Parks sind die Drehkarusselle Far West, Sombreros, Blizzard und Santiago, die Bootsfahrt Pirates Attack, die Wasserrutsche Le Flum sowie die Piratenschaukel und der Far-West-Express. Im Park gibt es sechs Restaurants.
Die Anfang Juli 2011 eröffnete Achterbahn „Timber Drop“ des Herstellers S&S Worldwide hielt mit ihrer um 113 Grad geneigten ersten Abfahrt rund sechs Monate lang den Weltrekord als steilste Stahlachterbahn, ehe sie Ende Dezember den Rekord an den „Green Lantern Coaster“ in der australischen Warner Bros. Movie World abgeben musste.
Im Jahre 2016 erreichte der Park mit 271.000 Gästen einen neuen Besucherrekord.

Fraispertuis-City est un parc à thèmes familial situé à Jeanménil, dans le département français des Vosges en région Grand Est.
Ouvert en 1966 par la famille Fleurent qui le détient toujours, il a pour thème principal l'Ouest américain. Il a été élu « meilleur parc familial français » en 20042 et constitue la première destination touristique payante des Vosges.
Le parc compte aujourd'hui plus de trente attractions de tous types, quatre restaurants, des boutiques et un bon nombre d'infrastructures de service.
L'entreprise est restée familiale puisque l'on retrouve les quatre enfants de Simone et Michel Fleurent à la tête du parc, entourés de 22 employés permanents. 450 saisonniers complètent l'effectif.
Le parc est ouvert des vacances scolaires d'avril jusqu'au dernier week-end de septembre, la pause hivernale étant consacrée à l'entretien et l'aménagement du parc.
